We’re finally back. We apologize. Working those other projects took so much longer than anticipated, and a couple of other projects came along in the meantime.
When we paused operation, we had a number of partially researched and written blogs. Some have been overcome by events. We’re going to pick up with those still relevant now.
We present some brief thoughts as starters. It may take us a little time to re-familiarize ourselves with this website and get back into full blog and ponderment modes.
Although the earth is a very, very, very small and maybe in some ways an essentially insignificant part of the universe, it seems to be entering or has entered a (or another) critical stage of its existence, this time due its supposedly dominant material lifeform. This dominant material lifeform’s numbers, their needs, demands for comfort, convenience, and greed, the rapid change of technology, and the lack of certain new technologies are creating severe environmental impacts.
Our environment continues to suffer under our lack of leadership.
Some nations are actively expanding their influence beyond their current/established borders or internationally accepted territory of influence. This may be an expression of their power or dominance or a claim of the natural resources which exist in those areas.
Some nations, including ours, are internally divided to an extent not seen in at least decades, if ever, along economic, political, and what are called racial, tribal, or other lines.
Some religions, sects, or other subsets of what are called major religions and other religious-oriented groups challenge others for dominance and righteousness. Each claims they are the true path to whatever. They demand control of an individual’s thoughts and direct some of their actions.
These and other matters are of great concern about our future on this earth.
The earth is/was a beautiful planet. Can we salvage it and ourselves? The earth will survive in some form. Will we?
