Hollywood seems to like making movies where alien organisms or creatures come to earth to conquer – converting, eliminating, or destroying humanity in the process. But somehow, humanity always seems to come back and win in the end.
We can roughly classify these into two types of movies. One is where the aliens are just microbe-type things – parasites, bacteria, viruses, or other small entities which haven’t developed what we would call high technology – something like “The Andromeda Strain”.
The other is where the aliens are more complex, sophisticated beings with high technology.
For simplicity purposes here, we’ll only deal with the second type, and not all of those. To deal with all of them would turn this post into a review or summary of all alien invasion movies. That’s not the intent here.
In each of these movies, the alien material technology is more advanced than earth-human technology at the time.
In “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers”, the aliens arrive in flying saucers. After a violent greeting by humans, the aliens decide to destroy earth. However, humans develop a sonic weapon to destroy the saucers, saving earth.
In “Independence Day”, humans manage to upload a computer virus into the mothership which disables the alien vehicle force fields, enabling humans to destroy the alien ships.
“Cowboys and Aliens” requires the use of one of the alien’s own devices and help from a member of another alien race to destroy the attacking aliens.
So humanity, being us or the “good guys”, wins in each of these cases, however unrealistic that may seem.
These advanced technology species invaders have conquered gravity and developed the ability to travel the vast space distances between stars or galaxies. In doing so, have they conquered time as well?
They would certainly have developed other capabilities, too.
The screenwriters, producers, directors, and financial backers of such movies fail to consider these other capabilities aliens would have. If they had, though, the humans would likely not have won in the end, so there would be no story, or it would be considered something like a tragedy instead – a tragedy for the human race.
What are these other capabilities?
We here on earth know them by various names. These names typically fall under the realm of psychic phenomena. We’ll refer to it as psi. These capabilities include things like telepathy, precognition, psycho- or telekinesis, various types of energy use, and teleportation.
Now those of you who don’t believe that earth has already been visited by vehicles and beings from other planets may have a little trouble with what comes next. But that’s your problem. You either haven’t taken the time to look at the evidence or you unquestioningly believe what the media, your ignorant friends, and/or the government tell you.
The capabilities exhibited by these beings include the types of psychic phenomena mentioned above. It goes back to the statement on our Home page: “There are more things in the universe than you can imagine.”
What evidence is there for aliens having these capabilities?
There are reports of unknown vehicles hovering near or over silos taking control of US and Russian ballistic missiles in those silos. Somehow they can gain control of the systems and take the missile toward a launch, or they can shut down the system so that nothing works. These are instances of telekinesis.
Another great example is the incident involving Iranian fighter jets during 1976. An unidentified object in the sky was observed from the ground. When fighter jets were scrambled to investigate it, something or some entity in those objects had the capability to take control of or disable the fighter’s electrical systems. As the jets approached the object, their electronics or weapons systems were disabled and they couldn’t fire on the object. When the fighters departed, their systems resumed functionality.
These beings can teleport people from vehicles or other locations into their vehicles or somewhere else. The beings communicate with people telepathically and actually control them via some type of force or energy.
With these types of capabilities, any ET alien race wanting to take over the earth would have no problem doing so.
In the case of “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers”, the sonic weapons would have been similarly disabled.
In “Independence Day”, the ship which loaded the computer virus would have been disabled before it got near the mothership.
In “Cowboys and Aliens”, the aliens with these capabilities would have been able to locate the man who carried one of their weapons on his arm and disable it or teleport the man back to the ship.
Sorry Hollywood.
